Dr. S. M. V. Sharief did Diploma in Civil Engineering from S. C. R. Reddy Polytechnic, Eluru, B.Tech from V. R. Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada and M.E degree from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai. He has obtained his Ph. D degree from top rated prestigious institution IIT Bombay. His areas of interest include Groundwater Simulation optimization using FEM and Genetic Algorithms, Fluid Mechanics etc., His brilliant career brought him to teaching profession in 1997 at VIT University, Vellore and served in various capacities up to December 2009.Later he served as PRINCIPAL for 2 years at Sri Balaji College of Engineering & Technology, Jaipur. He has got more than 15 years of teaching, research and industrial experience. He was a recipient of "Jalvigyan Puraskar" award for the year 2008 from Indian society for Hydraulics. He has published number of papers in National and International conferences and journals.
